As Deputy DA, Brendan :
Manages a $19 million budget, while overseeing all criminal and juvenile trial divisions
Wrote the county's child abuse response team protocols and supervises specialty courts
Regularly testifies at the Legislature regarding criminal law and juvenile justice issues to promote public safety issues that affect all Oregonians
Serves on the Governor’s Juvenile Justice Policy Commission, the Oregon Youth Authority Safety Task Force and the Board of Directors for Liberty House
Is the 2025 “President's Award Recipient” for the Oregon District Attorney's Association—an award that signifies recognition of integrity, leadership, and commitment to fairness in the law enforcement community
